چکیده

In this paper, we have investigated the application of non-binary LDPC codes to spatial multiplexing MIMO systems with a large number of low power antennas. We demonstrate that such large MIMO systems incorporating with low-complexity MMSE detector and non-binary LDPC codes can achieve low probability of bit error at near MIMO capacity. The new proposed non-binary LDPC coded system also performs better than other coded large MIMO systems known in the present literature. For instance, non-binary LDPC coded BPSK-MIMO system with 600 transmit/receive antennas performs within 3.4 dB from the capacity while the best known turbo coded system operates about 9.4 dB away from the capacity. Based on the simulation results provided in this paper, the proposed nonbinary LDPC coded large MIMO system is capable of supporting ultra high spectral efficiency at low bit error rate.

Approaching the Capacity of Large-Scale MIMO Systems via Non-Binary LDPC Codes

In this paper, the application of non-binary low-density parity-check (NBLDPC) codes to MIMO systems which employ hundreds of antennas at both the transmitter and the receiver has been proposed. Together with the well-known low-complexity MMSE detection, the moderate length NBLDPC codes can operate closer to the MIMO capacity, e.g., capacity-gap about 3.5 dB (the best known gap is more than 7 d...

M-ary Detection and q-ary Decoding in Large-Scale MIMO: A Non-Binary Belief Propagation Approach

In this paper, we propose a non-binary belief propagation approach (NB-BP) for detection of M -ary modulation symbols and decoding of q-ary LDPC codes in large-scale multiuser MIMO systems. We first propose a message passing based symbol detection algorithm which computes vector messages using a scalar Gaussian approximation of interference, which results in a total complexity of just O(KN √ M)...

Analyse et construction de codes LDPC non-binaires pour des canaux à évanouissement. (Analysis and Design of Non-Binary LDPC Codes over Fading Channels)

Over the last 15 years, spectacular advances in the analysis and design of graph-based codes and iterative decoding techniques paved the way for the development of error correction systems operating very close to the theoretical Shannon limit. A prominent role has been played by the class of Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes, introduced in the early 60's by Gallager's and described latter i...

A study on LDPC coded hybrid-ARQ using spatially multiplexed MIMO-OFDM

In this paper, we consider the Type-II Hybrid ARQ schemes with the LDPC codes having the rate of 0.5 through MIMO-OFDM Spatial Multiplexing (SM) schemes for high speed and high throughput transmission. MMSE nulling and MLD are used for the signal separation and detection method in SM. We also have used the channel estimation per subcarrier with MMSE criterion. The uncoded Hybrid ARQ schemes wit...

Performance of Concatenated Optimized Irregular LDPC Code with Alamouti Coded MIMO-OFDM Systems

-Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) communication systems along with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) have a great potential for future 4G broadband wireless communications. Recently, low density parity check codes (LDPC) achieves good error correcting performance and capacity near Shannon’s limit. In this paper, we considered the performance analysis of serially concatenate...
